Summary

The report gives a status of the time trend of contaminant concentrations in Greenlandic animals. The reported results are derived from the AMAP Core project. The time trend is analysed for the heavy metals mercury, cadmium and selenium and the platinum group metals palladium and platinum. The time trend is also investigated for the persistent organic pollutants as PCB, DDT, HCH, HCB, chordanes, toxaphenes, PFOS and dioxins. The report includes analyses of the time series statistical power to detect changes. In the end the re-port gives detailed recommendations for a revision and continuation of the monitoring programme.
