In connection with NOVANA (the National Monitoring and Assessment Programme for the Aquatic and Terrestrial Environment), DCE is responsible for a number of tasks.
We manage quality assurance in connection with monitoring the individual sub-sections as follows:
- Analyses and sampling in connection with monitoring the air are covered by quality assurance via accreditation.
- Chemical analyses carried out according to a contract with the Danish Nature Agency are covered by quality assurance via accreditation.
- Sampling and fieldwork that are part of DCE’s area of responsibility, or are carried out according to a contract with the Danish Nature Agency, are conducted in accordance with the technical specifications.
- We manage quality assurance in connection with modelling by review or evaluation by an external specialist in the field.
- We manage quality assurance in connection with biological monitoring tasks by taking part in intercalibration or other types of performance testing, or by submitting the work to an impartial external evaluation.
