120 abstracts to ‘Science for the Environment’

All the themes of the conference are covered in the abstracts of which a fifth is Danish.

From 3-4 October 2013 DCE hosts the second international environmental conference ’Science for the Environment’ at Aarhus University.

Deadline for abstracts was 15 May, and a total of 120 abstracts have been received, of which a fifth comes from Denmark. The contributions are equally distributed between the four themes of the conference: climate changes, climate adaption, resource efficiency and green economy.

The abstracts cover a broad range of scientific topics, and both the area of technical nature science and social science, health science and the arts are represented.

The conference can therefore be seen as an example of AU’s strategy of bringing together scientific disciplines to generate solutions to the global challenges. The abstracts will now be evaluated by an international scientific committee. The final programme will expectedly be posted on the conference website at the end of June.
