Scientists deem CWA threat at Nord Stream 2 negligible

The sea bed around the new Nord Stream 2 pipe line has been surveyed for the environmental risks posed by Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) dumped in the sea at the end of WW2. The results show the threat to be negligible according to a scientific report from DCE – Danish Centre for Environment and Energy.

Over the next three years, the researchers will strategically supplement the open source DNA sequence library for marine seabed animals from the North Sea. The database will remain accessible even after the GEANS project ends. (Photo: GEANS).

The new sector report regarding emission inventory for industrial processes up till 2016 has been published. The report contains inventories of industrial pollutants and is compiled by scientists at DCE – Danish Centre for Environment and Energy.
